GKS-Documents New update   with Apostille and Authenticated

GKS-Scholarship is known as a scholarship program that allows all candidates to apply in two different ways. first, you can apply through the embassy in your respective country and you are either able to apply directly to the university that you prefer. but since NIIED has announced a new update of documents that needed to get apostilled or Authenticated from the embassy of your respective country. So all candidates need to submit those documents correctly in order to make their application qualified to be considered.

Note: Maybe you also know that Cambodia doesn't have Apostilled Convention service for your documents, so if you still submit your documents without Apostilled your application will consider as disqualified for foreign documents. So how can make your documents be recognized?
1. Family's book and Birth certificate:
From my experience, you must get those documents translated from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia (ក្រសួងការបរទេស).
2. Degree Certificate & Transcripts:
It must first be notarized (បញ្ជាក់) by one of the embassy's recognized notary places (មន្ទីរសារការីដែលទទួលស្គាល់ដោយស្ថានទូត). The applicant must then have it authenticated at the embassy.
The following is a list of notary offices recognized by the embassy in Phnom Penh:

1. S.K.Y Notary Public

Address: No. 14B, Street 184, Sangkat Phsar Thmei 3, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh Tel: (+855) 23 975 777

2. Angkor Notary Public

Address: Building No. 1F, Street 99, Sangkat Beoung Trabek, Khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh, Tel: (+855) 23 901 206

3. SETHAVITOU Notary Public of the Kingdom of Cambodia

Address: No. 51 Bis, Street 334, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang (Chamkar Morn), Phnom Penh, Tel: (+855) 23 213 368

4. HBS Law

5. Mekong Notary Public

Finally, after you get your documents translated and notarize you can process your Authenticated documents from Korea Embassy in Cambodia.
**Documents needed to prepare when you going to get Authencitad at the embassy:

3. Fill out the form that provides by the embassy.
4. Bring the documents that you wish to have Authenticated, Birth Certificate, Family's book, Certificate, transcript...
* Working Hour: The hours of service are limited to 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
*The embassy WILL NOT authenticate documents that have been notarized & translated by those who have not been recognized by the embassy.
